In a high-level meeting held at the Vidhan Bhavan in Mumbai, the Union Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, the Maharashtra Department of Parliamentary Affairs, and the Maharashtra Legislature Secretariat agreed to advance the process of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the effective implementation of NeVA. The project will be implemented across the legislature complexes in Mumbai and Nagpur, as well as within the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council.
Financial and Technical Aspects
A provision of ₹673.94 crore has been made for the NeVA project at the national level. The estimated cost for its implementation in Maharashtra is approximately ₹48 crore. These funds will be utilized for digital infrastructure, software development, capacity building, training, and technical support.
